I'm pretty good with computers but I'm buying an ATI All-In-Wonder and it states that it needs a PCI Express 2.0 Slot. What is a PCI Express 2.0 slot? Is it any different than a PCI Express 1.0 slot or is it just a driver issue?

The difference between 1.0/2.0/3.0 is just how much data the card can transfer. I'm pretty sure that 2.0 bandwidth is about half a gig or near abouts. I know that mobos designed for 2.0 can use 1.0 as well (in other words its backwards compatible). In terms of having a 1.0 slot and using a 2.0 card in some cases I believe it works and others it doesn't. You'd have to check specifically.

So no, it isn't a driver issue.
