Did The Yearly Subscription To Gmc Really Go From $90 To $228 All At Once?

I had to let my subscription run out a few months back due to loosing my job from the poor economy and just not being able to afford anything extra because I have a family to support. I really enjoyed GMC and learned a lot using it so my family gave me $90 for my 29th b-day on Friday just so I could sign back up for GMC...I went happily to the computer today only to see that the yearly rate had risen from $90 to $228. I love some of the instructors material and I think they should get payed well for what they offer but raising the rates this much at once is not good business in my opinion. If the yearly rate had risen to say $110 I would have been like, "what the hell!", and probably payed it anyways. GMC you have alienated me and I have to say there will be many more like me to come if you don't fix this soon. I urge you not to delete this post and actually listen to the feedback from the people that made this website a success. Thanks for listening to me gripe. ~earthling

Hello Humble Earthling Here!

I love this site so much it makes me sick! I was turned onto GMC last year by my best friend who is a techno engineer and multi instrument genius. I have been playing guitar for 16 years but just recently decided to fill in the blanks and relearn guitar from a more classical standpoint. I don't know what happened...! I was the top music theory student when I went into college but I never utilized that gift until now. Its wonderful to find my way to this immense portal of brilliant and kind people that make up GMC. Anyhow just this week I finally decided to break my sentimental bond to my 1999 Jimi Hendrix Voodoo Strat and buy an Ibanez Jem(wanted one since I first saw Crossroads when I was 12). I had to sell my Warmoth soloist as well but look what I got. Its an Ibanez J Custom RG8470Z RS and not a Jem but its AWESOME! What do you think? I'm gonna wear the neck right off it on GMC! Its not going to get special treatment because its pretty. -earthling
