Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi Guilla!

This is a very good take of this boogie blues lesson. The overall sounds tight and clean. I've watched it three times trying to find any relevant issue to fix and I can only talk about one element: tone. And this is not only related to your amp's settings. It's a mix of things. I think that your take could sound clearer, with more dynamics. This can be achieved by experimenting with your EQ, improving the quality of your recording and also by improving your dynamics work (right hand intensities).

If you compare your right hand work with the original lesson, you'll notice that the instructor tends to pick harder, but that he accentuates some notes over other ones to give this a special feel. Try to emulate it in order to have more control of dynamics.

Other than that, this is really good. Keep on the good job.

Hey there!

Same as Gabriel I couldn't spot anything serious to fix here. You did a good job on this one.

There are in fact some dynamics differences but it's subtle feeling.

There is one thing I would like you to verify and consider to be possibly tweaked. Fabian's performance is based in 90% on down-up strumming. There's essentially one short moment when he forces his hand to strum downwards only at just a few notes. Try to verify it. I belive that keeping this specific shiffle strumming pulse is one of lessons purpose.

Hi man, this performance sounds and looks totally controlled and accurate. I can't find anything wrong with it at all so I have no choice but to throw down a 10 smile.gif Well done.
