Hey guys,

Just thought I would share a bit of valuable info with you. In May this year I said I would
bite the bullet and buy a Ebony Gibson LP Custom, always wanted one. I was about to buy it in a music shop here in Ireland for €3999. Luckily enough it didn't go through on my credit card..

Anyway I was browsing the net a few days after that and I found a website dealing in high end guitars
and the guys got me a Ebony Custom LP brand new still in the wrapping for €2499 shipped directly to my
front door. Im in no way affiliated with them, as these guys say themselves they are just tired of people
getting ripped off from high streets shops and are doing great deals on Fenders, Custom, PRS etc. They reckon they can save you at least €1000 on any high end guitar. So is definately worth checking out. They have 100% feedback on Ebay too from 200 customers. So its a no brainer.

Like I said I aint selling anything, I have a shithot LP custom now for the price of a LP standard anywhere else. I know myself from trying to learn the guitar that everyone wants a Les Paul or a Fender start pro so
just so you know that dream is definately possible.

Anyways website is www.riverhouseguitars.co.uk..
The lads are based somewhere in England.

Hope this helps....

Barry.

Congrats Barry,
looks like a very good price for the UK and Ireland. Also looks like an interesting website for us lot in Europe. I might get in contact to see if they can do non-US guitars... (They did a Jem so biggrin.gif ).

Rather puts into focus though how much of a premium we pay in Europe for most things - including most guitars and amps. Anyway I'll reserve that rant for elsewhere.

One quick question - who did they use to courier it to you? Over here in Spain we have problems with some couriers as we don't live in a town/city. So some are just a non-starter for me.

Enjoy the Gibson, sure that she's great guitar biggrin.gif .

Cheers,
Tony

Hey Tony,

I honestly couldn't tell you who they used for courier though am pretty sure they can ship to Spain alright.
The guitar itself was in the original Gibson cardboard with the custom hard case. It was just shipped to my local post depot and I had to collect it so that may work for you?. They may also be able to arrange collection for you somewhere. They are extremely helpful guys anyway, they will definately be able to arrange something for you.

Guitar itself is excellent, though the LP custom is extremely heavy so its quite hard to stay standing with!.
Its a pleasure to play though, I can even hit all the usual wrong notes and it sounds good!!.

Any more queries give me a shout

Barry,

Tony,

Just to update you, it looks like they use a company called Parcelforce for delivery. You can read details on their website..

Cheers Barry,
much obliged. (nearest postal drop off for me is our petrol station - depends who's on shift dry.gif .)

I struggle to stand up with my LP as well blink.gif - despite buying the widest strap I could find. God knows how Page coped with the SG double neck - must have shoulders wider than Arnie laugh.gif .

Cheers,
Tony
