Recording With Toneport Gx/reaper

Ive just bought a Toneport GX, installed Gearbox etc. When I open Gearbox, its fine, i can hear sound through my headphones connected to the Toneport. However, I cant seem to get any sort of signal into Reaper, I open it, insert new track, arm the track, and when I play theres nothing.

Anybody know what I could be doing wrong?

New? Line6 Product, 'pod Studio'

Just received an email from Line6 Europe about the Line6 Pod Studio GX, UX1 and UX2, quite literally a couple of minutes before I ordered a Toneport.

This is the GX, it claims to be much quieter for recording and have less latency, anybody know what its like?
If so, would you recommend it over the Toneport?

Reaper/pod 2.0 Recording...

I've just came across Reaper from reading around the forum, and I'm thinking of downloading the programme.
Will I be able to record to Reaper from my Pod 2.0 or will the Pod only work with the Line6 Edit programme, which I have been told can be recorded to. I have yet to buy a USB cable, so once I have bought the USB cable for my Pod 2.0 to connect to the computer, can I record straight to the Line6 Edit programme?
If I wanted to record with the Reaper programme without a Pod 2.0, what gear would I need?
