Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi Petr,

I've been following your work on this lesson and I know how much you are working and how much you could improve it. The lesson shows improvement on each of the elements that I've commented before (at the mentoring program) but there is still work to do.

The rhythm is ok now but you still have to polish timing to make everything sound tight, and also smooth. There are parts as the bridge (which is also repeated in the end) that are the most problematic, while other parts like the power chords need some little adjustment.

Another element to improve in the future is dynamics. You tend to play everything with the same intensity. Check out the original lesson and pay attention how I use dynamics (different pick intensities) as an expressing tool.

Ok friend, keep on the hard work!

Hey petr!
I can hear you did a lot of good to this lesson. All notes are correct and most of the take you have a descent left and right hand sync. Unfortunately at those sort-of-solo parts you tend to loose timming. Make sure on the picking direction of each note. At the beginner or semi-advanced level, one of most common causes of timming issues are problems with picking consistency - not being 100% sure about the picking direction on each note. When this happens it makes you loose the pulse and some string skipping that looks easy can become a true problem if we flip the picking direction. I think I would start from this point. Anyway - well done smile.gif

Hi Petr, this is looking quite good so far. You've got the basics of this lesson down and now it's time to hone the areas that need the most improvement. The most obvious area is timing, which my good comrades have already pointed out. You tend to rush ahead and play the next note or chord too early. Hold onto notes and chords for as long as they should sound and only change when it's time. I know the temptation is to plan ahead and cut notes short but if you've completely memorised the track then you can afford to hold on a little longer before moving to the next section.

I'd like to see some vibrato occurring at some point in the future. It will help give some life to your playing. All the notes sound the same at the moment so it will be good to be able to put some vibrato on certain notes to emphasise them. Keep up the good work!
