Hey, Lets have a IA Eklundh lesson smile.gif Lets learn how to get THOSE high pitch screams, and play with interesting things instead of a pick( will not meantion what kind of thing though ).

He has a very impressive cover on Smoke on the Water that everybody should check out!

Posted by: Tank Aug 1 2006, 12:13 PM

I always find it really difficult to do a top ten, because if I take a look at my favourite albums of all time, some of the musicians never had another good album, so I'd not consider them to be top ten artists

So instead here are 10 albums I've listened to more than once (and picked up a guitar to) over the past week, in no particular order:

1. Page & Plant - Unledded
2. Megadeth - Rust In Peace
3. Tom Waits - Heartattack and Vine
4. Jason Becker - Perspective
5. AC/DC - High Voltage
6. G'n'R - Appetite for Destruction
7. RATM - Rage Against The Machine
8. U2 - The Joshua Tree
9. Rammstein - Mutter
10. Slash's Snakepit - Ain't Life Grand

I was listening to Pride & Glory a few weeks back. There are some brilliant tracks on that album, and it's not overly produced (there are some bum notes that have been left in the solos smile.gif) Nice to see that even greats like Zakk can drop the odd bum note like the rest of us!!

Hey didn't say he was perfect...he's human just like the rest of us. I once read somewhere where they said zakk does his solo's in one take...so I guess that would explain a stray note here and there.

I really like the fact that we have such a mixed pot of influences... I love Roxette and Pantera just as much.

I hope we can all learn from this - I strongly believe that the "new styles" come from odd mixes.
