Hey there,

My brother wants me to play Canon in D at his wedding - but NOT the rocked out version I see all over YouTube. Can anyone direct me to a tab of a classy version? I'm talking about the melody - I'll be playing over a backing track.

-Kiz

Hey Kiz. Can you be a bit more specific, your brother is going to play the piano or guitar?

My bro is not playing anything. Just me, soloing the melody over a backing track, like this, but without getting into the hard rock part:

Thanks, man

oh sorry...read it bad. So, I don't think you'll find a tab for the melody without being the "rock" version. I was only considering having the sheet for piano or just jam the chords to create the melody. You could just record the chords and make the melody yourself by ear, or get the classical piece in piano and just jam along with it.

Thanks guys. This is helpful. I think I'm going to have to start off with the tab, then figure it out myself.

Here is the list of all gmc Canon in D lessons:

Maybe you can derive the main melody from some of them?
