Just thought I'd introduce myself after a message from one of the GMC tutors.
My name is Llion and I'm from Wales, been playing for about 14 years now but seriously for about the last 5.
My current set up is JJ retro lux, Yamaha Sg2000, Ltd EC1000 and a Lakewood D 14 acoustic, amps are Randall rg 50 tc combo and Marshall jcm 2000 head and jcm 900 cab. Currently playing in a rock and metal cover band playing Maiden, Metallica, Zepplin, Sabbath etc.
I joined GMC because for the last year I've been teaching a couple of student and was looking for ideas to introduce to them as well as to expand my own playing ability.
My main influences come from metal, Mastodon, High on Fire, Neurosis, Converge and Baroness, but i've really been getting into the blues for a couple of years now early stuff like Blind Blake, Robert Johnson and leadbelly.
Only been a member for a few days but I can tell i'm going to be a daily visitor to the site with so much knowlage and talent available it can only get me playing better.
Look forward to the future now, so catch you all later.
Llion.

Welcome smile.gif I'm Todd and I teach our "Saturday Metal Meltdown" as it's come to be known smile.gif Do stop by if you can! It's a small world! Mastadon are from Georgia where I'm based out of. They even recorded their demo at a local studio here called LEDBELLY. It's a great little place. I've recorded demos there as well. Small world and getting smaller!

Todd

HI all, thanks for the welcome I'm really looking forward to get top grips with GMC now.
Your in good company there in Georgia Todd, Mastodon are my favouite band but I'm also a big fan of Baroness and Kylesa who are both from Savanah so You have a lot to live uo too, ha ha.
Thanks for the complment on the gear Ben I've been lucky to find most of these for a reasonable price second hand once I get a custom shop flying V i should be happy and stop spending.

Hey mate! Welcome to the site! Just missed the opportunity of seeing Mastodon last year as they cancelled their show in Bucharest in the last week (Didn't understand why even to this day) But anyway, please feel free to ask us anything you wish to know and also, you might wanna check out the timetable at the bottom of the homepage for the weekly video chat schedule!
