Hey everyone, I'm looking for a simple stompbox/pedal that will let me record myself and play it back, so I can play over riffs that I've made up and stuff. What I'd also like to do though is record myself playing a song or solo or whatever, and be able to play it back to analyze and see what I need to work on. All in all I guess i'm looking for a pedal that that I can record myself on for at least 5 minutes or so, and then be able to play back what i've recorded. Any certain ones anyone here would recomend? Thanks, Ben Sounds more like you want a digital recorder, not a pedal - 5 minutes is a long time for a pedal I think, although I don;t know what current models are capable of. -------------------- Check out my Instructor profile

A loop pedas is actualy quite cool, record yourslef while playing live and then lay a second phrase (solo or whatever) upon it.
I'm certainly missing a loop pedal myself!!!!! Boss got one, it takes 15 minutes of loop time. Digitech got one the JamMan, records 25 minutes, one which you can also connect to the computer. Behringer might have a model they copied off of someone. Have a look! So it dependes a bit what you want, something for live performaces (the BOSS or Digitech pedal) or a sequencer + USB-soundcard (like a POD) for the computer. -------------------- My bands homepage

Thanks, I think i'll check out that boss pedal. I dont really plan on using it "live" in front of anyone yet, but i'd like it to be right there so after I record a solo or something, and I have an idea for a new lick or whatever, i'm already right there so I won't forget it like I probably would if i was sitting at my computer without my guitar. Thanks to eveyone who gave their opinion in this thread Here is some info on one of the BOSS units. http://www.bananas.com/productdetail.asp/p...-Recorder-Pedal Sounds cool. I was looking for something like this in the fall and was told there was nothing other than a sampler. SO I went the PC route with a stealth plug USB interface. It works ok as well and was fairly cheap $100 - $120. Good Luck in your search Scoob -------------------- GEAR
