I just got back from my second concert ever at iRock Nightclub in Harper, Detroit Mi. My ears are still ringing and my memories from this concert are still not forgotten.

Relik was the first band of the night. There one of those bands like Lacuna Coil or Nightwish but without the keyboards. They were pretty good but I don't like that kind of music. They had the crowd headbanging and throwing the hons which was nice. The guitarist was pretty sick. The guy can shred but he's the only thing that kept my attention throughout there bill.

Next up was the band I've been wanting to see since I've heard of them: uneXpect. This is there first tour in America. Wow this was the highlight of the night. Just plain insane and energetic. All of them played there instruments to the full potential although, the Violinist wasn't there so thats kind of a bummer for me. They played most of the songs from there latest album In A Flesh Aquarium like Desert Urbania, The Shiver etc. They blew my mind to tell you the truth. Definitely a band to see if your into avant-garde metal. It felt like a circus because of all there antics and ambience. A dream-like performance. They did had ,however, a few problems with the guitar. Nothing like a good improv from the bassist, keyboardist, and drummer to pass the time though

Me and my friends went home after uneXpect so we didn't see Echoes Of Eternity. Theres no reason for us to stay anyway because nothing can top uneXpect's performance.

I'd give this tour an 85%. uneXpect is the only band that made me go anyway so all of the credits go to them.
Watch them if you have a chance because they can definitely play there instruments very well. Almost like the cd.

ps. I also met there bassist and got a free poster and autograph. Stupid of me to leave it in the table and someone stole it. I guess it was my fault. I'm sad but happy to see them play there first concert in Detroit.

I've been trying to see uneXpect live but unfortunately I work evenings. If they eventually play a club on the weekends I'll try to go see them. Did the bass player use his 9 string monster live or was it a normal bass?

P.S. Sorry to hear about your poster

Your lucky indeed. All of them are great performers. Especially Leïlindel and ChaotH. ChaotH was wild while Leïlindel was just lovely. Her voice is amazing. She swears more than the guys too hahaha.

That's a side effect of being a French Canadian. We swear a lot here. Probably due to our Catholic background.
