My Complaint, Practice guitars

I just returned from a business trip and I have'nt played sice last Monday. My fingers are going soft. I'll get back into it tonight watching the Yankees beat the Red Sox (keep hope alive).

Anyone have a good recommendation for a portable guitar? I have to be able to put it in a Sea Bag and travel via helo. It has to be small but usable.

Cheers,

g

There's a topic in Gear board I believe.
It's not regular guitar ,just neck with 7 frets and strings.
Look around,it's called Shredneck. wink.gif

I purchased one of those. They are unable to be tuned. I couldn't understand how you can practice riffs witout being able to tune the devise.

No,you can't practice on it. smile.gif
But you can have your fingers in shape without carrying real guitar on trip.
It's more like warmup tool and will avoid soft fingers.
I use it a lot and I'm not a rookie tho. smile.gif

Martin makes one.

It looks pretty cool,

And it's a Martin, so you know you're getting a Quality guitar.

Well here's a semi related story, as some of you might now, I'm currently serving in the Israeli army, and in boot camp, having no access to a guitar I practiced fingering on the grip of my M16, it really resembels a fretboard lol

Oh the old backpacker laugh.gif
I won this thing years ago at a guitar store, its not so great.I guess the fact u can take it along with and actually play unlike the shredneck is a cool plus but,it has a very little sound and is almost impossabile to get comfortable to play.Worth looking into though smile.gif And also they are not made in usa like most martins are these are made in mexico

My Gear
Cort X-2 electric with 24 frets and 2 humbucker's dark Blue
Kustom DFX100 With Celestion Speakers, and thats it now (lol)

My Advice
Figure out what you want in life early.Wether it's the girl, the partying
or mastering the guitar.Adding any 2 together will get in your way.

GMC'ers and Shalom to the IS Army.

I'm goin with the Martin nylon string backpacker. It should fit in my duffel bag and I"ll surround it with skivvies to keep it save. Thanks for your input. It is fun to read the creative juices of ya'all.
