This is a bounce of the NIK KERSHAW track "Wouldn't it be good" that I'm working on with my buddy from the band ANTI-M. Our own KEN put his guitar magic sauce on it!! There is a complex chordal bit that KEN did a great job on. I"m going to do lead work and the rest of the guitars. I wanted to see what you guys thought about it so far?

Thanks for taking the time to listen and comment!! that's what is great about GMC smile.gif

Here is a video version for easier playback wink.gif

*Soundcloud embeds not quite working still it seems.

I listened the original after the demo and liked the demo better!

You guys got the tempo feel just right and it has the freshness that needed for today despite still sounding 80's. Very good.

Sounds great, can't wait to hear the final take.

I agree with Mertay, brings it up to date but still sounds '80s cool.gif

Super thanks for taking the time to check it out! Also for the feedback smile.gif We pushed the tempo up just a bit from the original as the original sounded a bit slow by modern standards. Also tried to freshen it up as the old one sounds a pinch dated. Still a great, superbly written piece of music. Lead guitars and vocals are next!!

Thanks much for giving it a listen smile.gif That is exactly our goal, to bring it up to day but still keep an 80s vibe. Sounds like we may have hit it on the head smile.gif

HELP!!!!!!!

I want to cut this song down in terms of time. It feels a bit too long and repetitive toward the end. I wanted to see what you guys thought about trimming it and where you thought I might put the knife?

I loved this song when it came out and had a lot of fun working on it for Todd.
If you guys haven't seen the original video, do check it out. It's about as 80s as it gets, and beautifully so.

*As far as cutting it down ... you could just do two choruses at the end and then a long fade.

Thanks much for checking it out!! it's been great fun working on it and I LOVE kens parts. he track several layers of guitars adn they all synch perfectly. The guy is a real pro. i've got one guitar track playing along with his. going to add guitar leads with the synth parts as well. I love doing heavy versions of synthwave type stuff smile.gif
