Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hey guys, here's my take on Ivan's Modes Workshop part 1 for our MTP.

I had to make a take playing 16th triplets on 60 bpm all seven scale positions starting with both a down and an upstroke.

Hi Kaz!

Nice take.

You should however improve your descending technique. When you do the descending lines, your picking-fretting hand coordination becomes sloppy. Try to focus on it by decreacing the speed of your metronome till you can play it without a single mistake, and start working on it. When you feel like you could do it anytime, increace the speed on your metronome.

Your ascending needs a bit of work too, but generally it's ok, and your timing is also good.

8/10

I like the color of your guitar, it's amazing smile.gif

I agree with Zsolt. It was OK but could use a bit more precision, specially when descending. An 8 from me.

Very good take. Could be a bit more precise and evenly played...
