Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi Carlos!

As we are working on your soloing skills and improvisation at the mentoring program, it's great to know that you are also working on your rhythm! You are a hard worked, well done mate!

This one is sounding good. I only note some timing issues starting at 1:00. This part, which includes hammering, tends to go a bit before the beat so please dedicate some time to polish the rhythm and try to go tighter with the backing track. This type of Power/Industrial metal requires very precise timing.

I think that your palm muting and other elements here are ok, so this is very close. It's an 8!

Keep on the good job!

Cool mate -

As Gab mentioned - even small timing misses are very obvious on fast metal track such as this one. I can hear slight issues from the beginning (ie the chord strike at 00:29).

To experiment, does it feel any different if you allow yourself to groove away more with your whole body (head, foot etc - check out how Lian does it) - and then try to lock your playing in with that groove? It might be worth a shot!

Keep it up, you get a 7 from me!

Hey there!

First of all I think you could give your guitar slightly louder in the mix just for the clarity purpose in the rec section. As for it's "album" kind of mixing, it's just fine. In general my feeling about your take are mostly positiove. I do not find any disturbing mistakes, tune issues and similar. The only thing that brings any doubts is the ending that goes slighlty of the beat. Besides that it's a great work!
