My Strings Make Me Angry...., Tone help!!!

Jan 26 2008, 09:13 PM	GMC:er Posts: 89 Joined: 11-April 07 From: Dover, DE	So I need a little help...I'm trying to play a little Back in Black and for the intro I can't quite get my G string to sound as crisp as the Gibson SG...I've got great pickups (Seymour Duncan neck and Burstbucker bridge) and a well made guitar (PRS), but for some reason I get a flat sounding G string whenever I hammer on and pull for that intro lick. They are full of bugs, because there are a lot of different quality on the market. Maybe you got a bad set, restring your guitar and try again. If its not the strings, it could be anything man, if you say it is not the gear, it is either your amp or your playing. Play a little with your amp and see what kind of results you can come up to. I forgot about that, as far as XLs go you get what you pay for. I use Elixer XLs and have never had a problem with them, you might want to give them a try.
