GMC Forum _ CHILL OUT _ I'm Off To England!

Hey all.
In a week from now I'll be flying out to Manchester, England . I'll be first be stopping in Chicago (any can't miss guitar stores in Chicago?) and I'll have a downtime of about 5 hours. Then, I'm off to Manchester. I will visit that place, then we are going to Liverpool where I will get to visit The Caverns! I could possibly be going to London and will then reside a while in Stoke on Trent.

Any suggestions of places to check out? I know I want at the least to bring back a guitar pick of every place I visit

omg!!! come visit me!! i live very close to manchester!

um oh yeah, the important note of guitar shops, there is a dawsons music store in manchester, there is also a new place called musicground or somethiig like that

I'm a bit out of date on what's what in the Uk (hopefully someone else can pick up on this). For Manchester though there are quite a few guitar shops in and around Oxford Road there is also one a few miles outside the city in (I think) Heald Green (Sounds Great Music) off the Wilmslow Road. Liverpool most used to be centered on or near Paradise Street (quite close to The Cavern). Venues, sorry completely out of touch for them both cities though have good tourist information centers and most guitar shops should have a notice board.

there are also 3 shops like on the same street in liverpool, just find dolphin music and u will be able to find the rest, ask around
