Hey guys, I opened this topic so that anyone who has any experience with low priced HD cams can recommend them perhaps. I'm thinking of getting one soon, but I don't have any direct experience with them. Any kind of advice is welcomed.
Thanks a lot -------------------- - Ivan's Video Chat Lesson Notes HERE

Is logitech quickcam 9000 lowpriced? cause i like it.. its about 100$ It is! Its actually a really good solution for home recording etc but its a webcam. From HD camcorders Panasonic HD-SD 9 looks really interesting as a choice. I'm "looking" at Sony HDR-FX1000 for quite some time now - to do a trade in. Hopefully I'll be able to enjoy the HD world soon -------------------- For GMC support please email support (at) guitarmasterclass.net

It really depends on how much you are looking to spend. You can get a nice full HD camera like This handycam form factor Sanyo which is amazing considering what it costs. (About $600 U.S.)
Sanyo HD Cam Or for about double the price, (About $1000 U.S.) you can get a Canon with nice glass (lense) and more features and such. Here is a link to the Canon with details. Canon HD Camera Beyond this you get in to Pro-Sumer level cameras about about 2K each. Todd |

Hey Guyz .. Ive been doing some research on this lately.
All good HD camera's will be starting from $800+ going to 2k .. 3k etc .. BUT .......... if you are making a jump from Logitech quickcam pro9000 and want the next best thing .... than I'm seriously looking at buying Kodak Zi8 .. It's 1080p capable and about a 100 dollars more than your logitech quickcam pro. All reviews that Ive read and watched seem to be positive. http://store.kodak.com/store/ekconsus/en_U...uctID.156585800 Im at work so cant post any youtube links but have a look at some vids on youtube shot using this cam.. I was quite impressed but I was still curious to investigate how it will handle capturing extremely fast hand movements. Coz i primarily need it for making quality guitar videos. Do you own research before buying. My search within my budget has ended on this camera and I might be buying it soon. p.s - does not come with the SD card or the tripod .. I own a JVC GZ-HD7U. The camera makes pretty good footage and is pretty easy to use. Also the focus ring with the focus assist option are great if you are a bit experienced with camera.
If you own a Mac: DON'T BUY THIS CAMERA... The compatibility with apple computer is terrible. But if video is easy to threat on PC then this camera is going to be more then good to you ... http://www.videomaker.com/article/13341/ |
