I bumped into this today:

I must say I liked it - it totally changed my perspective on this guy and I am curious if any of you has ever encountered a recording with an artist performing in a style that is totally unusual for him/her that you enjoyed listening to smile.gif

I saw MUSE years ago and Matthew Bellamy did this jazzy noodle in the middle of the set. It was like "oh, this guy really KNOWS whats he's doing".

I tried finding a cool video, but couldn't find anything to match what I saw.

Anyone a MUSE fan? check him out for sure!

Great find Cosmin! smile.gif
That was totally unexpected and he nailed it.

I really enjoyed this cover by RHCP:

What was very cool to me is that it was authentically played relatively close to the original song.

Nice find as well Bogdan - I also liked that cover of 'How deep is your love' played by Frusciante live - you posted it out of what I remember smile.gif Now, the thing is, I was totally blown away about the playing displayed by Syn - judging by what he plays with AX7X, he is a bit to sterile for my taste, but this acoustic playing is totally to my liking smile.gif

I almost forgot: Hunter Hayes.
This kid composed, arranged and recorded all the instruments - 30 to be more precise - on his album (at the age of 21 if I remember well, not that it matters any more smile.gif) )

You should definitely check him out. Really mature playing on all instruments! smile.gif
