Hello GMC people

i'm Kizuna 19age i was born and raised in japan, but now im in ohio as an exchange student and studied English at a very young age. i have been playing guitar for about 3 years now but doesn't feel like it. Usually when im supposed to practice, i end up doodling with my guitar or watch non-stop videos of my "Guitar Hero" performing.

My favorite style of playing is something i cant categorize, i'm very ignorant when it comes to "Genre". i just use my ear and if i like it, i hear it.

i like listening to Japanese bands and groups. i'm a fan of Marty Friedman. i like the work he has done in Japan like "tokyo Juke box" something about his playing is unique. He just sounds different from other guitarist like Slash,Steve Vai,Paul gilbert, etc. its probably his sense of emotion that he expresses on his playing. but i dont like his Megadeth work hehe tongue.gif

other guitarist that i like are ; Takayoshi Ohmura, Michiya Haruhata, and Syu
favorite band is Galneryus and my guitar hero is Syu! biggrin.gif

Im here as a beginner, and would like to improve my theory on scales and chords to make my own music. don't really like covering songs biggrin.gif

-Thanks!!!

Hey guys, i just started recording my own playing and im disappointed with myself tongue.gif
i usually just record a sequence of chords (basic chords) and play lead over them. the chords sound well together, but the lead doesnt go with it.i think im playing wrong notes over the backing track. what can i do to improve my playing over chords? do i learn theory?
are there any videos here that could help, or someone?
i will really appreciate it! smile.gif

Hey, i need help recording my guitar playing using Cubase5 while using my GT-10 guitar effect processor. i used to use Audacity but it wil always showed an error message after a few minutes of recording. so, i decided to get a Cubase 5 software program to record, but dont know how to record with it using my GT-10. Is it even possible to record my guitar playing with cubase while my guitar is hooked up to my GT-10?
i use a USB cable that connects my GT-10 to my PC. (not MIDI cable)

Please be very specific to me, i'm very *noobish when it comes to gear, etc. tongue.gif

Thanks!- Kizuna
