My best mate and more importantly drummer has returned from his 2.5 holiday to Brazil and the US.

I can put my acoustic guitar aside and get back to concentrating on playing electric.

First order of business getting a lighter touch on the fretboard and picking, I think I've lost some speed (not that I had much to start with) in the last couple months, and get back to my mentors Gab and Todd.

It was nice playing at practice last night.

Hey mate smile.gif I think that lighter touch comes when you practice a lot and constantly. I feel it every time I focus on practicing a lot every day for a long period of time. It's the muscle memory which comes into play without effort, simply because you have exercised it ferociously and focused.

How are you planning to get it back?

Getting it back by getting back into Todd's bootcamp and Gab's Army.

I think some of my country bending practice started me gripping the guitar neck like a vice too, but again with practice that will loosen as I find the right amount of strength I need to use.
