The styling is pure Tosin but IMHO, is a bit questionable. But to each his own. At first glance I was like "Yuck!!!!!" slowly it's starting to seem more stylish and less fiendishly ugly. And yeah, it's probably one of the best 8 strings money can buy. I think hes SPOT ON with idea that pickups don't need to be crazy hot in order to do HIGH GAIN work. I used to LOVE my EMG pickups, but lately I"ve SOLD ALL MY EMG guitars. I've found that I actually prefer ALNICO magnet pickups which are usually a bit less "Gainy" than ceramic pickups. The voicing of the lower output pickups, especially Alnico, allow for more expressive playing IMHO as they response well to dynamics (how hard or soft you are hitting the strings). Tosin is really one of very few players I've heard with a truly unique musical voice in his playing. Not to say, every player doens't have something unique, they do, but the way he combines such vastly disparate styles continues to impress me. Made me appreciate his sig. guitar much more. He is a player that needs a very versatile guitar for all those styles he performs. I did find it interesting how he talks about the pick up voicing with lower output and having the woods complement the tone.
