Hey there everyone!

I thought I would try my hand at a collaboration. Yes I know, its 01:38 here in Toronto, Ontario and I'm sitting on the computer writing and recording a backing track. Silly I know but when you can't sleep, why not play guitar?

Here are the specs for this track:

Tempo: 85bpm
Key: D Major
Time Signature: 4/4

Chord Progression:

||: Dmaj7 | Bm7 | Em7 | A7 :|| F#m7 | Bm | G . A . | D ||

It would be best if the participants recorded two takes. One with the backing track and the other without the backing track.
I had to cap this collaboration at MAX 6 participants because of the business in my schedule in the upcoming month. Any level will be accepted!

Participents

1: gibsonmatte
2: -zion- (recorded)
3:
4: DaniHel (recorded)
5: leedbreak
6: berko (recorded)

I'm thinking about making it March 1st so you shouldn't have to worry. It will greatly depend on when the list is full. I'll make sure to let you know. But for now, you are in!

it's not that easy to do a solo.. i am pretty new at this, but i hope i can do something to do your great progression justice. wink.gif

Haha, far from great progression. Sorry to say, but I'm not completely happy with it. Who knows, maybe this is the way all great songwriters feel.

Its a tricky backing to comfortably develop a mood with, partly because its short and there's not a lot of room to maneuver. My best advice is to not make it too complicated, but still create an atmosphere that the listener can connect with.

Happy hunting! And best of luck with the rest of your strings lol

berko, leedbreak, you guys are in.

I've also decided to cap the availability at 6 because I feel I might not be able to do more than that in the next couple of weeks.

So the deadline is March 1. If that's no good for some, I could make an exception, just let me know.

Thanks DaniHel for posting the Mp3s.

Hey colonel!

Thanks again for the opportunity, here is my take! My only problem was that the count-in beats were way too silent in your backing so basically I had to cut them off and make them louder in a separate track. wink.gif
