Hey there,

Ok so the forum has been running for a while and seem to be working pretty ok smile.gif

I still believe we would benefit from some new boards, so... What new boards do you think we should have at gmc?

What boards are popular at other forums ("gear", "off topic" etc.)?

Perhaps, we could come up with some innovative board theme...? Something exclusive for gmc?

Give some suggestions - let's have a poll - and then let's create some new boards! biggrin.gif

off topic would be useful for people who just want a general chat.

a live chatroom? - this would be fantastic if its possible to embed into a webpage. im sure it would be used by a lot of people.

an equipment/hardware board. - people who want to discuss pedals, guitar modding, leads, electricals, computers etc.

they're my ideas at first thought. smile.gif

oddly enough, in the guitar forums I frequent, it seems the most popular is the off-topic or "General Fun" forums. I know one forum that has a built in "radio" feature. It plays users uploaded tunes as you browse. They have several well seasoned skilled players with great recording skill, and they only select the best, stuff has to be original too.
Voice chat is another one, you get to "jam" with people all around the world, but, until recently, its only one person can play at a time. So, you really only trade licks back and forth.

Some really interesting ideas in there - I hadn't though of voice chat.

Chat rooms could definately be something.
