I wonder how many guitar players there are that have warmed up their hands and done their finger "exercises" a little bit differently than normal after typing .com instead of .net?

I can see it now....
"Start off slow and make sure that your technique is perfect, THEN increase your BPM"

hehe well in a way I guess you could say I supported the porn industry when not choosing a domain name more carefully (by sending them visitors) - and supporting that industry is really the last thing I would like to do!
Freelicks is what started it all, and it will always have a very dear place in my heart - however when starting the site I had a somewhat naive prespective on all the aspects of running a music related website. With the MPA chasing tabsites I felt I no longer wanted to build something that could be crushed anytime by a third party - and this is how the idea of gmc was born!
I realise I probably should announce the closing of freelicks somewhere - but I have a dream to be able to update it in the future (you know when a week will contain ten days instead of seven as it is now).
I hope this answered some questions!
Hi Kris,
Will you be importing any of the video lessons over (subject to copyright issues I suppose). As a beginner, I've found one of the most motivating achievements is the ability to play a recognizable lick, even if it is something relatively basic like 'Fade to Black.'
I like the GMC approach to building techniques and the 'sound like' sections which ultimately I guess make one a more accomplished musician but equally there must be some demand for lessons which teach how to learn specific songs. The lessons could run from the very basic (Green Day's 'good riddance') to the mentally difficult...
Anyway, just my 2c- I know the demand is there (a quick look at any guitar mag shows this) but I have no idea about the copyright issues.
