GMC Forum _ Jerry Arcidiacono _ Ii-v-i Progression Licks.

Posted by: Simon Love Feb 2 2012, 07:07 PM

Hi

I've got the chords for this worked from the TAB and by watching the video where the chords are marked. However, I'm not sure of how long to stay on each Chord since the TAB doesn't seem to indicate the bars very clearly.

I've worked out that it is a 12 bar sequence and that the I chord is played for twice as long as the II-V chords. Do you have a regular rhythm chart for this progression so it would be easy for me to play this piece and loop it for practice?

Kind regards

Simon

Hi Simon,

the (ASCII) tab you see was done in this way as a quick method to learn the licks with the video.
With the Guitar Pro file you have all the infos you need to learn the lesson. If you don't use Guitar Pro, you can view the same file using TuxGuitar, which is totally free.

Anyway, you can use also this pdf file to read the music in the "old" way, with no tabs. This is also a good exercise to do, sometimes. Trust me biggrin.gif
