Anyone have any experience with the Gibson 137 classic for jazz? Playing through a Blues Deluxe. Any other suggestions in this price range $US 2,000? Thanks.

I didn't try it but I checked some videos at youtube and I must say that it seems to be an awesome guitar. You'll never regret if you buy a Gibson...

Not sure man, but all the Gibsons I tried were awesome, like Gab said you won't make a mistake there. Build quality is just perfect on most models. Next to more standard models, like LP and SG, I played with 335 a lot, and it's a great guitar, it has warm and honky type of tone, excellent. The best thing about it, it's not only suited for jazz & blues - with Gibson you can play almost anything, it will sound awesome.

Sounds excellent according to some clips, but personal testing is still crucial !
