GMC Forum _ CHILL OUT _ 3 Years On Gmc

Well - this is my 3 year anniversary on GMC. It has been a great ride so far and I have learned a ton of stuff. Since joining I have bought three new guitars and a lot of recording equipment. I don't think I would have done that without all of the inspiration and instruction I have received here.
I've learned so many new techniques like sweeping, vibrato, theory, etc. and I attribute all of it to GMC. I've seen the membership grow at an incredible rate and the lessons are enough for a lifetime.
I want to say thanks to all of the instructors and great members for their help and support. I remember the very first lesson here years ago and seeing all of the instructors come and go. They've all been awesome.
Thank you Kris for everything you have done building this terrific site and helping me to rediscover they joys, challenges and rewards of playing my guitar. I look forward to the future!

It's been great. David, I remember your first lesson "Metal Head". I started practicing that right away. I was floored by that because I didn't know anything about theory or anything. So I thought the Phyrgian scale you used sounded so cool and mean!
I had to learn it.I still dig that tune. But sadly now it has been so long since I've played it I have to re-learn it. But I know what I'll be doing tonight though!
Thanks for all of your great lessons. I've learned two more of your lessons and recorded them. Probably not good enough to let you hear them yet. 
but they are "Take control of whammy bar" and "finger placement". Those are excellent!
