Woa dude, i remember this solo form the live CD, i know it's different to the video ones, i like this one better.
With that said, i can't play like that, you got a very nice technique going on, congratulations, there are some weak parts that i'm sure other instructors can help you with, but you got the skeleton of a very complex piece of music. -------------------- Check my Instructor Profile Rockers! Thanks guys, I think a little more time and I'll get it there.
QUOTE You have very good sound, I'd like to know what you use to record! Despite some mistakes - quite seriously played, congratz. You're very critical of yourself - which is very good. Be persistent, and very fast you'll eliminate the deficiencies that currently you have ! Cheers, hopefully yea I'll get it sorted. I just try to play slow and accurate to the metronome and eventually things get better but it's taking a very long time. To record I'm just using a line6 UX2 and pod farm 2 into reaper. The guitar I'm using there is a black korina strat with gibson '57 pickups. And that's it, there's nothing else in the signal chain. I used to use a tube pre-amp in front of the UX2 but the tubes went recently so I'm just going straight into pod farm 2 now. There's a few other recordings I've done knocking about if you'd like to hear those, there's a thread here; Adam's Music Thread I could post the patches I use if anyone wants them. I think a good recording sound comes more from your mind than the equipment, though. Thanks, yea there's some stupidly good players knocking about on this site so it'd be nice to get some help with certain parts! With that sweeping part, I can't work out how much of it is picked and how much is legato at the top/bottom of the sweep. I think the tapping is just a matter of practice and patience but that sweep I think I might be executing it wrong. |
