Hey guys! It's Brandon here.

This is the instrumental album my band has been working on the past year and it's finally finished. Our vocalist will be featured in our 2017 release, Freefall: Omega, when phase two of this project is completed. Guest pianist on "Surrender" is my brother, Jordan Burch. Guest guitar soloist on "New Wonders" is David Wallimann.

You can purchase our album on Bandcamp right now. It will hopefully be up on iTunes and such later on.

If you're a SoundCloud person, you can stream in there as well.

The drums you hear are real, performed by Daniel Ortega. I produced the album all myself, so I hope you enjoy. smile.gif

Allow me to personally congratulate you on this achievement. The Cover art is KILLER, who did it? The mix sounds great, who mastered it? The playing and construction are top shelf as well and I will be buying a copy.

I can still remember when you got your first set of real "monitors". You have come a LOOOOOOONG way man!!!!

Many congrats indeed smile.gif

Todd

Thank you! Yeah he had a kickstarter for his latest album, and one of the higher tiers was he being a guest on a project. So I jumped at that opportunity. smile.gif

Thanks so much Todd! Is that who that was on our first sale? Thanks! The answer to who did the cover art and mixing and mastering is: me. But I have to give credit to the guys for the concept as we talked about how we wanted it to look. But yeah, I executed on the idea and did the compositing in photoshop. The mixing and mastering have been a long road. I'm happy to say you are hearing really the true mix - it sounded great before mastering. All I really did was brighten and clean up some frequencies, and applied light compression across the mix so it could be boosted to max volume. It was a lot of trial and error on the mixing phase, but I kept the entire album in one Reaper project, so that if I need to make a minor tweak somewhere it would be applied on the whole album. smile.gif by the way those real monitors- - I still have them, on monitor stands now.

That first sale was probably me smile.gif Hopefully the first of many! Like I always say, "getting folks to notice/care/buy" is often harder than making cool music! It requires a type of creativity all it's own. But once you get the hang of it, I have no doubt you will see significant sales smile.gif

Super congrats on those monitors! Stands and everything smile.gif You are there. That's pretty much all it takes to make good sounding music in a home studio, bit of practice, lots of hard work and tweaking, decent pair of monitors, and lots of blood, sweat and tears smile.gif

Congrats!!

Todd

Double Congrats! Not an easy thing to sell units these days. Dare I say even harder than making memorable music. As you continue to promote your new release, let us know what you find works and doesn't etc. There are wads of folks here who could certainly benefit from your journey in this regard smile.gif
