So it's been forever since I've posted something so here is my contribution to the music world. The following videos are strictly improv and as a result have some mistakes in them - but these are literally purely in-the-moment ideas.

Hey Rain, long time no see!
Lots of nice ideas! Watch your bends, they seem a bit sharp on some parts (which because I have a fever right now, I am super sensitive to ). Also, I can hear you are conscious about the vibrato, which is a good thing. Wild vibrato is not always appropriate though, and it can sound very weird when its not in time with the song. I can see that you can do good vibrato though, because you do that often, but it seems to slip when you are not thinking about it?
And when you are shredding away cool ideas on the second video, try to relax. You are really locking up your elbow, which is not a good thing at all. Try to relax as much as possible, and minimize your picking motion, at least til your wrist.
Lots of good ideas. Last video has a lot of good playing, but also more out-notes than the others, but lots of great playing. Did you write the backing tracks yourself? Would love to hear a written out solo over them
Some very fine playing You are well on your way. Also, congrats on improvising. It's hard, and it takes real stones to put it out there. You know where all of the problem issues are with your playing so no need to go in to that. Making vids is a great way to track your progress. In a month or two, make another video pass over the same backing and watch both. It's amazing to see yourself improve.
Practice!
Todd
One thing I've had a lot of trouble with is making sure I'm keeping good time. I notice that I often like to try to incorporate strange rhythmic patterns just for the sake of forcing myself out of my own "box", but sometimes it comes back to haunt me as in one of the riffs with the HD videos (octave passing on the low E). Any advice for really nailing the rhythm timings anymore than I am, or will it just take continued practice by doing what I'm doing and just trying to make conscious higher approximations towards hitting the notes on the beats?
