Hi people! how are you? Nowadays i was thinking about how is the price of my performance. Is difficult to answer sometimes because i´m not sure which are the parameters to sell my performance? last week i was in a meeting with big corporations who just visited Colombia to search artists in music bussiness.... i was taking and they asking me about the price of my show. Actually i was insecure about that.... Can you help me to give me some points to make the price of my show? some articles, some stories... i don´t know. There is a very interesting video about how to design a budget for independent photographers. It's in Spanish but I now that you speak that language, check it out: http://youtu.be/k-sqY4lPpAw In the video you discover how the girl defines, at first how much money his work hour costs. This depends on here living cost, with the addition of the profit she pretends to get. And then, she continues with all the other items to have in mind: - how much time it will take? - how much you WANT to do the job? - Is it cool to do? Does it give you some valuable experience? - How is the client? Is he a nice person to work for? and many other things to have in mind that you could connect to playing music. Now, when you talk to a client, you need to get this dude to want your product/service first. He has to want it so bad, that no matter what price you put on it, he won't think too much. With music, this is maybe a bit difficult, but my recommendation for you, is to watch this movie, which will tell you more about how to price your music and OBTAIN that price
