well
vaseline really

I had the worst sunburn ever this year, not kidding, and I almost went insane from the itch, really insane.
I kinda sat in the water all day to stop itching.

Aloe Vera and (believe it or not) Vanilla Yoghurt helps against sunburns tongue.gif

I felt the anger of the sun as well a few years ago when I were in Turkey.. I felt really smart sitting at the hotel rubbing yoghurt on my arm, but it actually helped xD

vaseline also helps the skin not to like, rip and get really tense. It's really great, don't really use menthol, well test it first, I tried it, thought it was ok, with the gel, put it on my shoulders.... I almost died of the pain, thought I was going to faint. So we tried rubbing the gel of but it caused my skin to rip.... and stuff.

As Canis said, Aloe Vera is great. It will make you feel a lot better. At least, it will ease the pain for a while and let you sleep

For the itch - a cool bath followed by some wet cloths/flannels on the burn. Also some aspirin or ibuprofen.
To rehydrate the skin and help stop it cracking - aloe vera.

Agree 100% with Tony. This is the best possible treatment.

Also you could try a hydrocortisone cream for the itch such as Cortizone-10. It's about $10 and you should be able to get it any pharmacy, plus it's enriched with Aloe and vit A,D, and E.

Blowtorch the area in question. Should take away the itching.

Regular yogurt is good but only just after the sunburn took place (to get the temperature out). After the skin is red, there isn't much you can do with it.

hahahah laugh.gif

@Eat-Sleep-andJam - did you fix the problem?

Its rewarding to get burns in some way, when they pass you get the nice brown color and then you can more easily get more tan and not get burns again smile.gif

Once, when I was a younger lad, I was visiting Puerto Rico, and I got a horrible sunburn. Now, you must understand, I'm a ginger, and I'm VERY ginger. So when I burn, ...it burns. One of the locals, perhaps out of some cruel sense of humor or simply bad advice, suggested pouring vinegar on the burn (which was all over my back by the way). DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME. Well heck, I dunno, maybe it's my skin type, but I wouldn't suggest it tongue.gif I'll leave it at that.
