Help!cures For Sunburn Itch !

I am on my 3rd to 4th cay of vacation and on about the 2nd day I got a decent sunburn on my back and shoulders. The redness is down but I have THE WORST ITCH on all of my back and it is driving me crazy! Does anyone know ANY good Remedies or things to do to help stop Itchy Skin that works really good ? It's really great, don't really use menthol, well test it first, I tried it, thought it was ok, with the gel, put it on my shoulders.... I almost died of the pain, thought I was going to faint. Also you could try a hydrocortisone cream for the itch such as Cortizone-10. It's about $10 and you should be able to get it any pharmacy, plus it's enriched with Aloe and vit A,D, and E. Regular yogurt is good but only just after the sunburn took place (to get the temperature out). After the skin is red, there isn't much you can do with it. One of the locals, perhaps out of some cruel sense of humor or simply bad advice, suggested pouring vinegar on the burn (which was all over my back by the way). DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME.
