Hi everyone,

First of all, sorry for my english, but i am french and we are not famous to be good english speaker tongue.gif

Now, the presentation: I'm David, 28 years old and living in Lille. I began to learn guitar 8 or 9 years ago but not really seriously with a lot of breaks due to my job and honestly due to lack of motivation sometimes.
Firstly i learnedsongs and after some scales (mainly penta and little major) to improvise but I have some real difficulties from this point and i really want to improve it.

Otherwise, i love a lot of kind of music in very large styles: jazz (Miles Davis, Mingus, Hancock), rock-pop (Led Zep, Stones, Beatle, Velvet), fusion (love Lukather, jeff Beck and Greg Howe), hard-heavy (Extreme, Metallica,Van Halen), Funk (Living, Colour, Betty Davis, Sly stones, Funkadelic) and blues (Robben Ford, SRV).
But I'm a real fan of Prince who mixes all these influences in his music and can be a really good guitarist (show his aftershows).

That's why i decide to sign, because i found a lof o great lessons in various styles and most of you seems to be really good guitarist but also teacher. Secondly, the interactivity and tools availables convince me to be front of a serious website to learn.

Happy New year, Bonne Année smile.gif

"Think of a guitar solo as a paragraph. You need a clear beginning, a middle, and an end. Look at musical phrases like sentences, and make sure you break them up using punctuation—or space. You pause naturally when conversing, right? If you don't, you'll bore the listener. The same thing will happen with your audience if your solo is one dimensional. You'll wear them out and lose their attention." —Tom Principato
