Guys, I must admit I was pretty curious to see what Mr. Mike Portnoy's new band sounded like biggrin.gif and here it is:

I think it's pretty slick biggrin.gif big, bad and tight sounding biggrin.gif

What do you think?

Out of his 6, 7, or 8 new bands that he is doing, I like this one the least actually. Russel Allen is a godly singer, but this particular release seemed a bit uninspired in most ways other than the vocals.

Mike Orlando is good, but I do not like his tone on the album, didnt mesh with me.

Man, C-Maestro, this is great !! Love the verse riff, it has a nice root+5th, root+4th progression which is something I like to do a lot and I actually first got it from a DT song, Stream of Consciousness (I think that's the title ?) smile.gif

Yeah, as always the guy just floors me! Portnoys flying colors release I think is much more interesting, theres definitely a really good chemistry between those guys.

I heard the song and I said... the song is cool, and also the music but I don't like the singer's high range... then I read that it's Russel and I felt confused... I really liked his voice but in this song it's used weird for me..

Letting in a bit of light on this one tongue.gif

Adrenaline Mob returns with their debut full length album, Omertá slated for release on March 13th. The newly formed Elm City Music in conjunction with EMI Label Services will release the follow up to last year’s self-titled EP. Elm City Music is the brainchild of music industry veteran Michael Caplan. The album contains 11 crushing tracks including the already fan favorites “Psychosane,” ”Believe Me” and “Down To The Floor”. New tracks such as “Indifferent,” “All On The Line” and “Angel Sky” showcase the evolution of Adrenaline Mob in their sound and songwriting. Omertá also features a blistering reinterpretation of Duran Duran’s classic “Come Undone” featuring guest vocals by Lzzy Hale of Halestorm. The album was produced by Adrenaline Mob and mixed by Jay Ruston known for his work on Anthrax’s Worship Music and Steel Panther’s Balls Out.
