Well I got about 500 dollars no more just to spend on a guitar now, and i was wondering what a good one would be.

At 500, I would look for a used guitar. Try a used strat or something, you can get a fairly decent guitar new for 500, but you could get a much better used one smile.gif

Not sure what you like, what kind of music do you want to make, any general ideas etc?

at 500 your getting into a range where there are alot of options smile.gif in my opinion a great guitar for around that price would be a jackson js 30 dinky or if you want wammy the js 20. again it depends on the type of music, i think of jacksons as all around guitars dispite the metal apperance, post what music you want to play and ill get back to you with some other options

at 500 dollars, you have some good guitars available. I would go for an Ibanez RG, or maybe a Schecter. Not sure what kind of music you like/play so it's kind of hard to determine what guitar to get......

agree. provided you are savvy about buying a used guitar. and if using ebay, that you are savvy about how to judge a seller as being reliable (know what the red flags are, and have the sense to pass it by when you see one).

Personally, I'm pretty crazy about schecters, and there is a certified schecter dealer on ebay who gets B-stocks from schecter, and sells them cheap. I bought an ACS Elite (acoustic/electric) from him, and I got it in 5 days =).

Right now he's selling a white C1 Elite:

Mahogony body and neck, set neck w/ultra access, coil-tapping pots, Duncan Designed pickups, grover tuners, tone pros bridge, and all for $500 with a case (depending on where you live). A brand new C1 elite is $600, so you'll save about $150, JUST CAUSE IT HAS A LITTLE SCRATCH. Good stuff... good luck whatever you buy!

Try C-1 FR for 450 USD. Floyd Rose and active pickups. Try and play it. Or if you have extra $50 you can get a C-1+. Try to haggle the dealer because we do that ALL the time in Guitar Center. Pretty crazy.
