So what are your guys most disliked games of all time?
Mine would be....
Call Of Duty
Call Of Duty 2
Call Of Duty 3
Medal Of Honor
Medal Of Honor
Medal Of Honor: Airborne
(Insert remaing Medal Of Honor Games)
Battlefield
Battlefield 2
(Any and all WWII Games)
All games made off of movies
Vampire Rain (what were they thinking)
Two Worlds
Runescape
Timeshift
Soldier Of Fortune
Soldier Of Fortune: Payback
Guitar Hero 1-3 (Dont know why, but i really hate this thing)
Guitar hero for sure
Runescape
WoW (not hating... just dun have time for something as good as it )
AOEIII
EEII
Runescape
Guitar Hero
WoW
Mario Party series
Counter Strike: Source
Counter Strike: Condition Zero
It's a shame that they even call it Counter Strike. It has NO feeling of Counter Strike left. I just stay with 1.6, because thats actually CS and not just some super amazing graphics on the screen.
Any soccer game
Guitar hero
Need for speed, (any of the serie)
and i think that's about it
there's probably more but i cant think of all now ...( 5:30 am here )
Haven't played many bad games, as I tend to stay away from them, but the worst game I've ever played is GoldenEye: Rogue Agent. The fact that the realoading animations was the best thing about it sums it up I think.
20: Extreme Sports With the Berenstein Bears
19: Bible Adventures
18: Kriss Kross: Make My Video
17: Bubsy 3D
16: Bad Street Brawler
15: Total Recall
14: Rapjam Volume One
13: AIRCARS
12: Night Trap
11: Heroes of the Lance
10: Revolution X
9: Custer's Revenge
8: White Men Can't Jump
7: Superman 64
6: Legend of Zelda: Wand of Gamelon
5: Virtuoso
4: Captain Novolin
3: Fight For Life
2: Club Drive
1: E.T. The Extraterrestrial
Final Fantasy X-2 and Final Fantasy 12. Two games that put the nail in the coffin of the best games franchise ever
Final Fantasy X-2 i can see, but i loved XII, i loved how it was politically driven for some of the story, and all the sidequests were awesome.
Final Fantasy XIII looks to to be insane ownage.
Final Fantasy XII was awesome. Much better than IX or X
1. ANY game with random encounters. Even if it's called final fantasy VII. Random encounters destroys everything.
2. Halo. I don't think it's crap, but I just find it soooo overrated. The level design is just horrible...
WoW and Halo just because they're extremely overrated.
Also I could never really get into Gears of War. The cover system was just badly done IMO compared to Rainbow Six Vegas which was released at about the same time, or even Ghost Recon: AW (R6 being by far the best of these games) and the storyline never appealed to me. It didn't in R6 really either, but the gameplay more than made up for it. That was a fun game.
not really a gamer, but I tried knights online and didnt like it at all
Man, some real Guitar Hero haters here.
I hate-
Medal of Honor series
CoD 3
Halo 3, cause Microsoft made out everythig including Forge to be 1,000,000,000,000 times better than it really is.
Oh, and I have to add Runescape also. I've never played it, but I have a few friends who have gotten seriously obsessed with it. What I want to know is, why waste hours of your life on an online game with crappy graphics that you have to pay for, when you could just buy Guildwars or something. Still a major waste of time imo.
Counterstrike
Starcraft
World Of Warcraft
Every Final Fantasy
Every Metal Gear
Every Sports game
COD was awesome, i was in cal in that... Id have to say cod 2 and cod 3 are the most hated games... they ruined the scope in cod 2, made it too easy, and way too many hackers...
What's up with the Guitar Hero anti-ness?
Most fun game ever on a console.
Turok, worst, most overhyped game ever.
Turok, good one, the new one will probably just be horrible.
The first Turok on 64 was great, I don't know what you guys are talking about
I like guitar hero but I don't feel the urge to own it. It's fun for partys though.
And how can you not like the metal gear games Or at least the early final fantasy games! They're classics!
Turok 2 rage wars was fantastic!
Any video game after a movie.
Any sports video game. How much imagination does it really take to make a football game? "We'll add new lighting effects/crowd stuff to the game, slightly update the engine, update the rosters, slap 2008 on it and put it on store shelves". I can't believe that people keep buying this same stuff, but I would also rather play the sports in question rather than pretend to play the sports in question, but I recognize not everyone has that ability.
All of the WW2 shooters. All of them.
Any JRPG with an angsty teenager as the protagonist. See Grandia III.
Two Worlds was bad, and it had so much potential .
Gears of War's cover was not as good as Vegas, but it was more conducive to arcade style play, which always fares better than realistic shooters, for whatever reason. The story was MUCH more involved in Gears IMO. It had the best writing of any game aside from Xenogears/FFVIII for me.
Any Nintendo franchise game where they repackage and update all the games of my youth. They cheapen the experience with each iteration, and that especially includes Legend of Zelda. A Link to the Past was the last great one. OoT, WW, etc are OK, but it didn't capture the soul of the originals. This goes double for Metroid. You make super Metroid then you try to tell me that Metroid Prime is just as good since it bears the same character? It was horrible.
Any gamecube game that wasn't Super Monkey Ball, Super Monkey Ball 2, or SSB:M. Much hate for that controller.
Time Shift. They duped me big time on that one. It sucks. I should stop buying games on impulse.
Mosted Hated Games.hmmmmmmmmmm.
Didnt really like Mass Effect *Waits as the forum starts to hate me*
Halo 3 was a huuuuuuuuge upset and really was a let down for me *Here the forum starts trolling me*
And the Guitar Hero series doesnt do anything for me. Fun at partys, sure. But people at least where I live think playing that is so much greater then regular guitar, psh.
Your mass effect comment made me cry
Thats an all time favorite for me, maybe because im a Sci-Fi/ RPG Nerd
I'm not a fan of Rainbow Six or Need For Speed (any racings games actually now that I think of it) I dont see anything wrong with Guitar Hero, but it makes me mad when people think it can replace a real guitar. A girl in my music class says they should consider Guitar Hero a musical instrument
hahaha thats bad.
I remember someone talking about Slash being the best guitarist because his songs are hard to play in Guitar Hero.
My most disliked games would probably be:
1- The entire Halo series. "Combat Evolved" can be simplified to "Standard FPS". Oh, and the Flood sucks.
2- Gears of War. Couldn't play this game for more than 10 minutes straight without nodding off.
3- Superman, for 360. Kill robots, fly, kill robots, fly, kill robots, CUTSCENE, fly.
4- Forza Motorsport. I bought this looking for a racing game. I nearly killed myself when I screwed up once in a race and then could never get the lead back. Oh, and when you touch a bit of grass it brings you from 80 to 20 in about 3 seconds. Simulation? Who the hell wants to play that?
5- Marvel Ultimate Alliance for PS2. Cel Shaded games with immovable cameras hovered over your character at 5 feet? I think not.
Oh, 2 more!
1- Any Mario Game, especially Galaxies. The storyline never changes, and it's all just one big platform jump, and yet it still gets a 9.7!
2- Sports Games. As long as I live I will never own one. Every game is the same to the one that came out the year before it, except it's graphics are slightly updated.
Gyromite on NES.
What a sucky game!!
There are a few...
Guitar Hero and Rock Band
All of the Halo games
Call of Duty 3
Edit: Whoops, how could I forget the horrid Gears of War?
If you're a old school computer KB/M FPS addict, the halo series is not that impressive. Halo 1 was somewhat of a breakthrough for bringing regenerative health to the mainstream. Halo 2 was revolutionary for being largely responsible for the proliferation of internet console gaming. No other game prior had a matchmaking/lobby system of that kind and it has set the bar for how finding games online for consoles should be. Halo 3 was an attempt to restore gameplay to being "balanced". It didn't really work out, BUT the saved film/screenshot picture capability is truly innovative. Also, having a map editor that you can manipulate the objects on the maps is pretty great.
Regardless on your opinion of the game, the technical achievements of the Halo series can't be overlooked, and like it or not, even if the gameplay was pretty run of the mill by your definition(although it is debatable they were the first big name to introduce the "golden tripod" of weapons, melee, and grenades where you could melee on the fly with any weapon and throw a grenade on the fly without switching to them) the impact of it's gameplay is felt in virtually every single modern shooter.
Also, the storyline of the single player is really where the game really shines. It's a space opera, for sure, but the "Ghost in the Shell" protagonist really helps you connect with the main character since you can never see his face. The themes at work in the game are truly epic and the story is as shallow or deep as you care to make it be. The story is MUCH deeper than it appears to be on the surface.
Vehicle combat. No other console shooter had a vehicle combat system as balanced and viable as H:CE. Now you see vehicle combat in just about every game, and usually not as well implemented as Halo's.
I think the Halo series gets a bad rap from PC FPS elitists and folks who think it is fashionable to disagree with the mainstream. Halo's impact is unquestionable. You might not like the game, but there's no denying that the game has molded the future of console FPS.
This is all said coming from someone who refuses to play H2/H3 online because the community has ruined the game. That, and the multiplayer balance of H1 and H2 is completely nonexistant and there is only ONE way you can play the game if you want to be competitive (pistol or BR). Love it or hate it, there's no denying it's importance to the console FPS genre.
Well the game I hate most is the Driver series because of the 'Impossible' level they put in it. I don't mind games if you have to work at them, for instance 'Devil May Cry' where you need to learn the tatics and develop your skill.
Driver on the other hand goes along quite nicely then 'wham' they change the physics of the car you're driving so you get knocked about as though you're in a crisp bag!! I hate games where you need luck to progress rather than skill. I never finished Driver 2 because of the penulitmate level for this reason and me smashing up my joy pad in a fit of rage after failing my 100th atempt!! I'm not proud of myself for breaking my joypad but I was really frustrated!!
It why I've gone back to playing guitar at least I'm making some progress.
I was thinking about buying Guitar Hero for months. But in the end that money was spent to guitar gear. It's a lot of fun when you can get better scores than your friends... and if it makes anyone get intrested playing for real, then that's just great!
On the other hand, anyone who really thinks GH as an "musical instrument" should be beheaded...
I don't really hate any game (atleast I can't think of any right now) but it really bugs me when certain type of games are released for wrong platforms. FPS on a console, played with a gamepad? It's not fps, it's b***sh*t.
Oooh, I want to add one.
Shadowrun.
This game is impossible to play against PC gamers which they try to get you to do. You'll never be as accurate with dual thumbsticks as you are with KBM. Ever.
Any other FPS that pits console against PC.
WoW (waste of time)
Runescape (same)
Counter Strike Source (horrible gameplay)
That's about it really lol. Don't play many games.
I like Condition Zero Robin
Well if you look at one game as a waste of time, then you're looking at them all as a waste of time. Most, if not all games, are just time-killers.
I can't recall any FPS shooters (PC or otherwise) that had on the fly grenades and melee before Halo, which adds a cool dynamic to the game.
Runescape, i played that when i was 12-13 years old and now I just can't believe why I played that game or what I found good about it
Also I dislike WoW, not the game itself but one 'friend' of mine' quit playing guitar and hanging out with us just to play WoW, since then I hate it that people leave things for playing a computer game So sad...
grtz
-Davidian
Not time killers, but rather "Experience Treadmills". subtle difference.
I used to play Dark Age of Camelot before WoW came out, and 50 was the highest level achievable, and that's just when the game started being "fun". I can't play those MMORPGs anymore. Huge waste of time IMO.
I used to play City of Heroes before I went to WoW, but the game stops being fun after only a short while.
Solitaire? I just don't get it
I'm with the Uncreator. Really the only WW2 game that I've ever liked is Call of Duty 1 & 2. I wish that the guys who make Medal of Honor would just give it a rest
I hate them for these reasons:
All about the same thing
I Already know the ending
Same Weapons
Lack Of Gameplay Variety
Same Online Play
I dunno about that, WWII games are the same uninspired crap over and over again. It's like playing Madden each year. The first couple were ok, but they lost me when they kept rehashing the same stuff over and over again. The AI is usually really bad and you can use choke points like doors and execute scores of them without moving. The gameplay never was all that hot and it's the same stuff each level over and over. The story is told on loading screens in the format of letters home (typically), but it doesn't really pull me in.
Don't get me wrong, WWII was fought by a truly great generation of men, but there isn't enough story told through the gameplay, which is where I fault them.
Plus, every time you get one a .50 calibur machine gun, millions of guys run at you and you can mow them down, but if you were to skip this machine gun, those millions of guys would not be there!?!!?
i was not aware the nazis were magicians!!
I actually liked all Call of Duty Games, especially 4. Unfortunately I hate all MOH games. There is no way one guy can mow down thousands of Nazi's alone.
MOH was a start - COD came later! I love that D-Day mission in MOH:Allied Assault.
Also there are loads of new games like Company Of Heroes which something like an RTS and i really like it - graphics, music, the way you play it, pretty real. Also another game i love is the whole Commandos series (except the one which is actually a shooter).
Since my grandfather was among those who captured Berlin (he was a member of tank division) this whole 'war' thing stays pretty close to me and i love all the WW2 movies and games
Of course some of them are totally screwed up and made on a low budget so they suck
Yeah, Company of Heroes is great, I play it all the time on my laptop, but I usually go turtle and get mowed down.
Oh man do I hate the Heroes of Might and Magic -series... It's so boring game.
