Steve Jobs, the founder of Apple computers passed away today from complications of pancreatic cancer. What Steve accomplished in his life is beyond remarkable. Steve conquered the computer industry but he also made huge advances in both the music and film industries as well. What a visionary.

Here is one of my favorite speeches, delivered by the man himself.

RIP Steve

Gary

So sad to hear this news early morning here. Damn, he is probably the man who has influenced most hearts in the world.

To me Steve was the #1 rock star... Although we all knew this was coming it feels incredibly heavy

To me Steve's company has been the only light in a dark computer world. I hope (and understand) that Apple is set up to continue in Steve's sprit, I just hope there are people skilled enough for that difficult task.

I agree with Kris. Steve was THE MAN! To see him cut down while still creating/innovating, (changed the way we listen to / buy music/tv/movies/etc. with ipod/itunes) is sad. His legacy will live on through the little company from Cuppertino that Steve built.

I must admit to not knowing anything about Steve Jobs but the idea I did have of him was a really good guy. And 56 is just horribly young to die.

One of the coolest and best examples of a role model that has ever walked the earth.

Think of how many people tell there friend's about the cool stuff their phones and computer's can do, and they only bought them. He came up with those ideas, and carried them out.

this is so sad, specially the part that talks about death..
but.. i think he was a bright and optimistic man, death can't erase that from all of our hearts, what an inspiration.
