hey guys, so today i have been trying to record a nirvana cover for my YT channel, if you check my channel you can see that i always try to nail the tones of the original songs and the overall feel of the guitar playing.
But today i was trying to do "in bloom" by nirvana, and holly cow, it can be tricky to learn those CRAZY kurt cobain leads.
So my question is, what do you think about him as a guitar player, not as a songwritter or singer
this is the song i'm covering:
to be honest! he's crazy than most of shredders. Just check School Solo ; ) i find it a pain to learn hahaha, but to be honest i don't learn nirvana solos..i just go Kurt Mode!
Kurt influenced my live playing alot.
He was great in every music aspect. I like his guitar style as well as his guitar tone. Both things were very personal and fresh.
That's probably because he didn't give a damn about Yngwie Malmsteen, Steve Vai or John Petrucci I'm jesting, but this dude was a genius PERIOD! I grew up with Nirvana and I respect and appreciate them very, very much!
He was very gifted musician! An original and freakish style, genius !!!
What to say about the legend? He was just plain awesome, and although the guitar parts seemed very easy, it was brilliantly put together with a style man. The guy was just brilliant..
Yeah, many of his leads just seem to be pretty random, but I believe he knew exactly what he was doing and knew what he wanted to do and why
yeah guys, i'm super glad people recognize him as a guitar player too, incredible right?
i also get in the Kurt mode sometimes
