We recently decided to take some new photos of our mastering studio and here's some of them. Not great quality as we took them ourselves but it gives an idea.

If anyone wants to see more take a look at our facebook page.

Oh and before people ask why we haven't got more equipment - we have. There's another rack on the RHS of the pc monitor which includes another mastering eq and mastering compressor, an Eventide rack reverb and a two channel preamp. There's also another rack under the desk and some equipment is in the equipment room.

I like to keep the studio tidy smile.gif so what's here is what we use a lot and need to keep to hand. Rather like Todd's studio ergonomics thread.

Thanks Gab - all the hardware is mastering grade and some have been customised a bit more for us (the GR MAQ is a Mercenary unit upgrade rather than the standard ME one).
Hardware is gainstaged and is hooked up via a mastering router so we can easily swop the order of units, side chain and even do MS decoding.

The link is in my signature (click the bit that says 'here' in the 'Be friends with us on Facebook' line) or you can find us on facebook at miromastering.

Spot on Todd professional mastering hardware doesn't come cheap. A mastering eq costs over $5000, so @ 5-10x more than a standard recording/mixing hardware eq. Thankfully we don't need as much hardware as a mixing studio smile.gif. There's over $50k worth of hardware in those photos.
