Need Opinion, Another "What guitar to get" post

Keep in mind that you need to steer away from a floating bridge if you want to play drop D, other alternate tunings, etc. Then choose a guitar with a fixed bridge, set up for heavy gauge strings. Isn't it very time consuming to go for different tunings with a floating bridge? You need to unlock the neck locks before you can tune it. Or can you use the fine-tuners for that?
