GMC Forum _ CHILL OUT _ What Do Todd Simpson And Cosmin Lupu Have In Common?
Posted by: Mudbone Jul 17 2011, 01:49 AM
According to Wikipedia, Bucharest and Atlanta are http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bucharest#Twin_towns_and_sister_cities. Sister cities are supposed to encourage trade between one another. So Todd, you can send Cosmin some chitlins, fatback, and bacon grease. Cosmin, you can send Todd a Romanian WASR AK-47... and send a Romanian cutie for me as well

Haha, you did find that out by accident...hopefully But that is really cool...I'll take a romanian cutie as well (and am now waiting for Mr. Higgins comment...)

I'm not sure what those first 2 things are but they sound very Deep South USA !
Maybe they're popular kids names down there.. ?

Don't feel bad, I live up north over there and have no clue what either one of them are!

After being a Yankee living in the South for five years, I'm still not entirely sure what they are
Actually, I just looked up what chitlins is, and apparently it is a very common dish http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chitlins. Its called "chitterlings," but after that word has been butchered by the southern accent its pronounced chit'lins

OMG. I've just read what it actually is. I believe I do not like it.

HAHA
guys, our ladies are indeed the loveliest
too bad they are not all as rock'n'roll as most of us would desire, and for the southern stuff
I'd trade everything for an encounter with Atlanta's SEVENDUST
out of what I know they are from around there
Sister Cities eh? Spiff! I think MUDBONE is right! Let's do an exchange program! Send me some European hotties and I"ll shoot you some Fried food and various pork products!
I think I'd be getting the bigger end of the stick on that.
Todd

SEVENDUST are a killer band and are very down to Earth. Jackal is still kicking around here as well. Not to mention bands like Collective Soul, REM, etc. There is a HUGE university (University of GA) in Athens GA that has a really big music scene, although it's mostly about Indie Rock.
On the Metal Side of things, my old Bandmates in Caustic Thought are still on the scene here and are very close to a record deal finally! And my other bands mates in GNOSTIC got signed to Seasons of Mist a while back and put out their first CD. So the Metal Scene here is Alive and Well, just mostly underground. My pals in Gnostic play the HUGE festival gigs in Europe but when they play here in the states, it's sometimes 50 folks in a Skate shop.

I don't think so, but if that was the case it would be at least weird

I was playing a gig last night and there was something called Harbour Fest going on in the city so there was thousands of people walking through the area.. drunk people etc.. and some of those women definitely looked like they were made of sausages.

When a woman is going to get married, it's the big party they all have.. for men it's called a 'Stag Do'. 'Do' (pronounced 'doo') is a slang word for party. 'Hen' is a female chicken and Stag is a male deer.
They all go out, dressed stupidly, and with Stag Do's the cliche joke has always been that the guy who is getting married will end up chained to a lampost, naked...
