GMC Forum _ PRACTICE ROOM _ I'm Back.

Posted by: Jeff Lynd Jun 20 2012, 09:58 PM

Hello GMC!

I'm back, I was not for a long time here.
I suffered a traffic accident (about one month and one week I was in a coma), so I don't remember about the past half year.
(weird, I would never have believed it that, but the Facebook's helped to remembering)

I'm OK now.
My feelings did not change for the the music and playing the guitar!
The thumb of my left hand not 100%, but will be better day by day.
Strange, but my "hand" remembering some movement, I think one may be practices what I learned here.

Thank's for the instructors!

I would like to ask it from you, what you think, where I let me start it?
(I hear that you say, you must start from the beginning smile.gif , but serious ... )

Bye
Take care!
Jeff

Welcome back man!

(big man hug)

dude...I'm happy you are alive and well and ready to start off again smile.gif it's incredible how life swings by and throws our plans in the wind, eh? sad.gif

Man, you have to build up what you have lost so, taking it easy and step by step would be my advice.

Let me know if you want to work this out together and I'll be happy to help with your guitar oriented recovery smile.gif

all the best

Cosmin

Hi Jeff.... sh********t !! ohmy.gif

So glad you're ok.. and really pleased you're back !

What kind of things do you feel comfortable with on the guitar ? How about some rhythm ? smile.gif

Wow, that really happens in real life. I have only seen in movies. That really must feel weird, losing so much of your memory. But great you are okay and back doing music. Accidents can be brutal. I had a small one on my thumb and I couldn't play guitar for 1.5 months. It was a torture.

Hope to see you regularly mate.

Thanks Gabriel!

I think, I am zero level now.
I do not remember such simple things like, how to picking etc. )
What you suggest, which way let me start it?
Ohhh, almost forget.
Gabriel, I think my hand remembers one of your simple practices!
I found it on my own PC's, the name of practice is "Warming up and Endurance".
Maybe, that I should begin it with simple things like this?
Bye
Jeff

Sorry guys!

I was in a vchat just right now and I think for me this yet too much.
I realized that the English causes some problem, I did not practice half year or this also the result of an accident?

It's amazing just how fragile & also resilient the human body is. I'm so glad you survived such a scary accident & hope your recovery is quick! smile.gif

I also believe that music is an amazing healer when it comes to memory. I'm 49 now & I can hear a song from my childhood & it immediatey takes me back to that time & place. So I was wondering if listening to your favorite music has helped bring back some of your memory? Or maybe even music that you heard often but didn't like...such as parents music on car radio or songs from early school years.

I also believe studying & playing guitar will be very helpful in your recovery!

(btw...I'm not a Doctor or anything...I just think alot! biggrin.gif )

Hi (professor) Blister! wink.gif

My musical taste did not change dying my family and my friends' feedback's, but yet did not help to bring back my memory unfortunately.
As you believed it music brought back feelings rather.

My wife made me listen to my favorite musics with a headset when I lay in a coma
although I do not know this, but maybe, that the efferent road was so fast with the help of this from the coma.

Thanks!
and
I am thinking a lot too! smile.gif

Bye

Hello Jeff,

great to know you and about you !

It is a heavy stuff you go through and its good to hear that you are on the way BACK to Yourself .

Your brain might right now not remember past things

but whats inside your heart will never get lost

so good to have family and friends who love one and stand beside one - timeless you are lucky .

The great thing about music - and you are a guitar musician - you must not think and try hard to remember `what ever`

you just let out what is inside you step by step getting closer to the Middle of yourself.

It is a new life a great chance too to be yourself !

I wish you and your family and friends all the Energy you need to go on together !

( sorry my english might be a bit strange - i am working on it )

Dieter
