Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi Oliver. I thought the bell ringers were quite inconsiderate - didn't they know you were trying to record a REC take?

Ok, you're sounding and looking quite good here. There's nothing too much to comment on.

The only thing is timing. You tend to lose your flow during those longer arpeggios. You speed up a little bit so try to avoid rushing in front of the beat, ok?

Obviously, with a phone video we might be missing some other issues but overall I'd say that was a great job!

Hi Farine!

Great job on this lesson! You playing is really good on the whole lesson and I can mark some little details to have in mind, but I think that you are ready for a new lesson:

- Be careful with timing.
- There are some moments where you could give more dynamics to the phrases as it happens with the original lesson.

This lesson includes stuff that should be worked on your own improvisations so it would be good to dedicate some time to create your own phrases using mixolydian and triads.

Keep on the good job. wink.gif

Well done my friend. This lesson is more about usage of the scale in particular backing track style. It's hard to judge it from the pure technial side. This kind of shuffle playing requires timming to be a bit off - that's why I won't compare to a "square" stroke to beat method. But...even having that main flow, you still tend to fall out from that shuffle groove at some points. Be carefull with this - It's much harder than "non-shuffle" groove timming match. Anyway ...great job on this one. Even with this recording from the phone we still can hear you very clearly and your playng has that cool vibe in it smile.gif
