* Jam with me - you will find active collabs here.
* Post a topic on this board, guitar related or not - doesn't matter! You will find that chatting with instructors boosts your motivation to practice.
* You haven't missed my latest video lessons, have you?
* Oh and did you know that to become a killer guitarist you just need to focus on one thing? Everything
else is secondary. Pm me and I will explain.

Ah, alright man! It's not that bad - but you want perfection, right? What else would you like to work on? Hi Cosmin, I've got a whole bunch of lessons that are just out of my reach to finish. Just on the border skill wise to get them sounding great. So im going to put them aside again and move on with some other/new ones. Currently im working on these: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/solo-guit...ernate-workout/ https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Intervals-Etude/ https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Dick_D...tyle_Surf_Rock/ The rest I'll come back to. The come back to list is starting to grow! Do you have any lesson suggestions? I've got a couple of alt picking ones there. Im looking for a something in the rock style, to continue with the "getting better a playing full songs" theme we've talked about. Also more in the direction of fast alternate rhythm picking playing. (bit a of weak spot the alternate picking huh!) At the moment level 4 seems to be my max level. level 5 lessons are usually just a little bit out of comfortable reach. And as we've also talked about, I also want to become a more relaxed/precise player so Im not sure pushing to much will help the relaxed playing. what do you reckon?? Also, I,m wondering if you could help me overhaul my practice schedule. I dont think its very efficient as it is and i'm starting a full time job next month, so my free time will no longer be so plentiful. I dont want to waste the time I will have. Wow, that was more than I thought! catch you soon Tim This post has been edited by Timmy b: Apr 22 2014, 05:13 PM |

Hey Tim I think I got the main idea here, well, in respect to your practice schedule - it's important to know how many hours a day you want to dedicate to it and if there's anything else you wanna put in there, aside from the AP/rhythm based things? If it's only those, I would go for this lesson in the beginning:
https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Metal-...t-Hand-Workout/ - this one will work the hell out of your right hand No problem if you won't get it as fast right away, but the workout is very good! So, you are having trouble with this one? https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Intervals-Etude/ I don't remember seeing a take yet It's not as difficult as it might seem What do you think? Cosmin |

What do I want out of my playing?
Good question! I was going to say to more consistency in my playing, but you say that I already have that. I guess it seems that way from the rec vids, but they're usually the best takes out of many attempts. It doesn't really reflect my usual playing. I guess this is something that needs time and experience though. I guess . Gets a bit frustrating, considering how long ive been playing for. I may just not have the self confidence in my playing too Anyway, I would like to be a more well rounded, relaxed, accurate player. Play without hesitation, free flowing. Be able to play (to an extend) any song I want to and not struggle. Maybe be able to actually play some full songs (can be a bit awkward when people want me to play for them) Guess it needs time. Hope that answers your question? looking back Im not sure I understood it that well Here's a couple more lessons I may add to the future to list. https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Scorpions-Style-Rhythm/ https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Rhythm-Funk/ Oh, and the Von hotch picks look interesting! I'll look into them Tim |

I seem to attracting some attention in the practice room!
Recs? There's a mountain in the works, but there's a couple that are close I'll try the Tool lesson again soon your intervals etude, It's still just above my speed threshold though. Im finding clean tones quite difficult to record well! Also your chord melodies lesson, that ones been a long time in the making, shouldn't be long now also, these are coming along quite well too https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Metal-...t-Hand-Workout/ https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Dick_D...tyle_Surf_Rock/ https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Rhythm-Funk/ Nice bit of variety all round! I'll keep you posted! Tim |

I'll keep you posted! Tim Of course you are Tim, I love the mix, but I wanted to post it there because there are far more elevated people than myself here in respect to mixing and sound engineering, so their opinion can help TONS - see, Gabi has spotted a lot of details that escaped me Nice selection man I say, let's begin with taking care of the Tool one and the Intervals etude - record it at a slower tempo and let's see what it sounds like, ok? I know it's a trickier one but, it's not really that hard Deal? |
