Well most video players I see come with a full-screen mode, so why not have it here? I have my computer hooked up to a 27 inch monitor, what would be sicker than watching GMC videos on that?

It's actually my old plasma TV. It's pretty sweet other than the fact that if I leave it on, the monitor will over-heat and some pictures might burn to the screen for a brief amount of time =\

Oh yeah , that's the case with some plasmas, you need to use screen saver..

Yes it would be really cool, but wouldn't video quality have to be improved, like when you do this on a youtube video, the Image is all blurry.

In this case of full screen we would need to export our videos to bigger size as this 320x240 is really small when you watch full screen mode. If GMC decides about this feature we should get new instructions how to export videos. If you have that big screen you are probably using 1600 resolution or higher. Imagine 320 stretched to 1600 all you would see would be an ugly stain on your screen.

besides the technical side, i really think that having larger videos would be a major improvement (although the site is absolute awesome)!
at least the size of kris´videos in the 1o1 lessons would be great!

That would mean a much slower GMC, I'm afraid.. dry.gif
If the server can handle it, it could be a feature: choose high quality or regular quality. ?

Start by playing something - a bend, a riff, a scale, a song - very slowly; if you make a mistake, start over; do this over and over, until you can play it flawlessly - and I do mean flawlessly - many times in a row. Next, gradually increase the tempo. Eventually you'll be flailing like a madman.

I think full screen is a great option, even 320x240 looks better stresched then actual sized.

But I think soon this will be taken care of, because player is transferring to hi-res.

I think its cool to have full screen feature but on the other side it will take more time to upload videos and for users to stream it in real time. In that sense that might not be such a good thing, but quality wise its definite yes!

It would be a good idea to have a choice of high or low quality in the "My Controls" section in order to benefit those who have high or low connection speeds.

EDIT just notice Jacmoe said nearly the same thing. Ooopppsss smile.gif

Fullscreen would be cool smile.gif
I have recorded most of my videos in 768 x 576 and keep them on the disk in case a future fullscreen feature will require re-uploading smile.gif

But higher quality will also demand tons more bandwidth.. for both members and the server
Strectching out videos in 320 wont be as good i think.

Possibly mate, but I've stretched some of the videos locally and they do look a bit better when stretched. I'm just recommending because it's not a hard thing to do, and it can potentially be useful.

I think that this has come up a few times why the lessons dont use bigger picture like in in Kris 101 lessons and i think kris said it was becasue of the streaming... It might take a long time to load the video for people with a slow internet connection
