C Major Scale/ Ionian Scale, im confused |

do you know how the scale starts off like 8 and 10 on the sixth string.......is it also ok if i did this on the 6th string with the ionian scale ( 7 8 10)

The ionian C scale is just another name for the C major scale, so you can play it like you said
