+1

I went to Winter NAMM for the first time this year. Would be keen to hear from people who've been to both - I'd love to try and get to Summer NAMM one year but it seems like Winter NAMM is just a way bigger/important event to be at, is that true?

Bingo!! Summer NAMM is about one quarter of the size of Winter NAMM typically so it's a good idea to go summer and ramp up to winter if possible smile.gif

Summer (v. winter) NAMM ...

Less general public, less vendors, consistently better players of all styles, less 'celebrity' rock star guys, more actual business being done with the vendors that do attend (which is less than winter) and cheaper concessions.

*Sometimes they make Sunday the 'public' day in both LA and Nashville. I have no idea what a ticket costs.

Haha, so, pointless for me then. I'm there to see as much as I can see, meet all my guitar heroes if I can, and just generally nerd out on the latest and greatest stuff. And I get entry to the whole shebang anyway, so the public day doesn't make any difference to me.

I'd kinda like to go to Nashville though, regardless of NAMM.
