Holiday Home Guitar

Hello folks,

I'm looking for a cheap guitar to leave at my holiday home, I can't decide which one of my "home guitars" to take as they all have sentimental value and I can guarantee I'll want to use whichever one I leave there.

No bells and whistles like trem system, etc.

Nitro Finish Question

Hello folks,

I've just been looking at the specs of my SRV Strat http://www.fendercustomshop.com/series/art...color-sunburst/

It says that the finish is "Tinted Nitrocellulose Lacquer". Is this the same finish that the old guitars used to have that age nicely if you play the pants off them? Or is it a modern crappy version?

Truss Rod Question

Hello folks,

I'm going to put 10s back on my SRV Strat, I had 12s on but an injury sustained while it was at the luthier having it set for 12s at full step down tuning seems to have caused some permanent nerve damage, which means I can't bend the 12s if I tune up to standard tuning.

I will be using it for standard, down half step and down full step tuning. Would I be best to set it to suit half step down tuning allowing tuning up and down or what do you recommend?

Your Thoughts On The Cost

Around four times the cost of the Asian version, and around the price of a Gibson ES330

What do you think? Personally is go for the Asian version.
