Purple Hayes - Hand Over Legato, original lesson by David Wallimann |
|
Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.
The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Original Lesson: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/solo-guit...gato-technique/
Equipment: Ibanez S470, POD X3 live, Reaper, Vegas (I hate vegas, I can't get the audio and video sync'd up correctly in there). Notes: I'm not playing the lesson the way David does in the video because I'll never perform that trick live. It's still the same notes though. If that disqualifies this from the REC, Skennington, move this to the uploads section and let everyone have a shot at a critique. Very good take! Everything was played very nicely, but there were some small timing issues with the last faster sequence.

Very good take. You might not play it in the same way as David did in his lesson, but what matters here is the result, and thats very good. Whatever technique leads to the result that you want to have, thats fine in my opinion.

Very good job!
Agreed with Marcus, I think it doesn´t matter what technique you use as long as you achieve the sound you want, Well sometimes it´s cool to show off too, but sound is first I think, There´s some timing issues. What helps me is isolating every chop from the rest and master it with a metronome. Being very aware of the pulse or drum track. -------------------- Visit my:
